If your analytics dashboard isn’t updating or looks frozen, use this checklist to quickly resolve the most common causes.

  • Blocked requests: Ad/privacy extensions, strict tracking prevention, or VPN/firewalls may block analytics endpoints.
  • Session/CSRF mismatch: Long-lived tabs with expired auth can stop live updates.
  • Clock/timezone mismatch: System clock or timezone off → data appears in the “future”/“past.”

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

  1. Verify filters: Set Date range to Last 24 hours or Last 7 days. Clear user/course filters. Reset grouping to default.
  2. Hard refresh: Ctrl+F5 (Win) / Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  3. Single session: Log out everywhere → log in once → reopen the dashboard.
  4. Disable blockers for a minute: Pause ad/tracker blockers and privacy extensions for the MDSteps domain; reload. If it works, add the domain to the allowlist.
  5. Try an Incognito/Private window: If it works there, the issue is an extension or cached data.
  6. Clear site data (targeted): In your browser, open Site settings → Cookies and site data for your MDSteps domain → Clear → sign in again.
  7. Check your clock/timezone: Ensure “Set time automatically” is on and the timezone matches your location.
