Not Receiving MDSteps Emails? Try These Fixes
If you aren’t receiving emails (verification, receipts, password reset, thread notifications), work through this quick checklist. Most delivery issues are caused by spam filters, typos, or school/work filtering.
Quick Fix (Most Cases)
- Check spam/junk (and Gmail Promotions/Social tabs). Search your mailbox for
mdsteps. - Add us to contacts/allow-list: support@mdsteps.com. If your client supports it, allow the domain
@mdsteps.com. - Verify your email in Dashboard → Account → Profile. If unverified, click Verify / Resend.
- Use a personal email (e.g., Gmail) if your institution blocks external mail.
- Still nothing? Open a ticket from your dashboard so we can check server logs.
Check Your MDSteps Settings
- Profile: Confirm the address is spelled correctly and is the one you check daily.
- Notifications: If you disabled email updates (e.g., community thread replies), re-enable them.
- Receipts: All receipts are always in Account → Billing, even if the email didn’t arrive.
Mark MDSteps as Safe (Common Providers)
Gmail
- Search
from:mdsteps.com. If found in Spam/Promotions, open it → click Not spam. - Create a filter: Settings → See all settings → Filters → Create new filter → From:
@mdsteps.com→ Create → check Never send it to Spam.
Outlook / Hotmail
- Check Junk Email. Right-click a message → Mark as not junk.
- Settings → Mail → Junk email → Safe senders and domains → add
mdsteps.com.
iCloud Mail
- Check Junk. Click Not Junk if present.
- Settings → Mail → Rules → add a rule to move messages from
@mdsteps.comto Inbox.
School / Work Email
- Many institutions block external mail by default. Ask IT to allowlist the domain
mdsteps.com. - If that’s not possible, switch to a personal inbox in Account → Profile.
Password Reset & Verification Tips
- Request a single reset, then wait 2–3 minutes and refresh your inbox. Multiple rapid requests can be rate-limited.
- Make sure you’re checking the correct inbox for the account you used to sign up.
Contact Support
If messages still aren’t arriving, open a ticket via Dashboard → Support or email support@mdsteps.com from an address that can receive email. Include:
- Your account email
- Type of email missing (verification, reset, receipt, community)
- Approximate time you expected it
- Your mail provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) and any error/bounce you saw
We’ll check our delivery logs and re-send if needed.
